In December 2015, administration officials met with some of the original petition signers to listen to their priorities and concerns regarding encryption. So far, 104,110 have signed it.
It is important that encryption is free of vulnerabilities and back doors. The last thing we all need is for the “bad guys” to have a way into our secure communications. We don’t need the government to weaken security in the name of national security. Weakening encryption weakens the entire Internet.
